The FLCEO engagement expands Momentum's work inside the Employee Ownership Expansion Network (EOX), the national nonprofit that builds and supports independent state centers for employee ownership across the country. Momentum already manages the Wisconsin Center for Employee Ownership (WICEO), the EOX state center serving Wisconsin businesses. With Florida added, the firm now supports state centers in two of the network's largest business markets. "State centers do some of the most practical work in the employee ownership movement. They're the ones taking the call from an owner who is three years from retirement and has never heard of an ESOP," said Joe Sapp, CAE, Co-Founder and President of Momentum Association Management, who serves as Executive Director of WICEO. "Running two centers means we can build the playbook once and give both states the benefit of it — the outreach model, the discovery process, the reporting, the grant administration. That's capacity these organizations could not buy on their own." The Florida Center for Employee Ownership provides free, unbiased education to Florida business owners, employees, advisors, and community leaders about employee ownership as a business succession and wealth-building strategy, including ESOPs, employee ownership trusts, and worker cooperatives. Alyssa Duany joins Momentum as Executive Director of FLCEO and will lead the center's day-to-day work with Florida business owners and advisors. Momentum's second new partner, the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association, is the alumni network of the University of Wisconsin–Madison's Real Estate and Urban Land Economics program. WREAA connects roughly 2,000 alumni and industry affiliates across development, lending, investment, brokerage, construction, and asset management, and supports current students through mentorship, scholarship, and career programming. The association marked its 50th anniversary in 2025 and produces the biennial Wisconsin Real Estate Trends Conference. "WREAA has a loyal membership and a long program legacy," said Rebekah Harris, Director of Operations at Momentum Association Management. "Our Bring Your Own Executive Hybrid Service model lets us come in as a partner to the staff WREAA already has, adding capacity where it's useful rather than taking anything over. And as a Madison-headquartered firm, we're glad to be doing it for a Wisconsin organization."
